Merry Christmas!

Another new addition to the fleet

Darren, Big Daz to those who dare, used to have a particularly lovely black Dodge Charger back in the day before life, wife and kids got in the way.

The good old days

He's decided it's time he got back into cars - with the wife's blessing, lucky man! After a slight false start looking at a collander pretending to be a Chevy Bel Air he's landed himself a 1954 Buick Century project. Currently without engine, although one may be sourced by the time you read this.

This will be a big project for Darren who'll be learning to weld, make repair panels etc as he goes along. We look forward to seeing it on the road soon-ish.

Slough Swapmeet

Sunday 8th was the Slough Swapmeet and a Lo 'E' Nuf contingent trooped along.

Montem Hall wasn't its usual crush.

Back out in the car park and club chef Cristophe Le Fantôme Chaud whipped up some fine bacon sarnies and coffee.

Also in the car park, Chris Kinnarney was selling his Type 3 and Beetle.

And an old Lo 'E' Nuf car was spotted.

Main task of the day was to give Josh's wallet a good spanking.
By the end of play he had amassed a useful collection of parts which were dropped off at the workshop on the way home.

The new arrival

Sneaking into Cris' workshop late at night is the latest addition to the Lo 'E' Nuf fleet imported, by Josh, all the way from Wales.

It's a Brazilian 15 window microbus that has seen a hard life. Now it's here to be rescued and cossetted.

The following evening saw the usual...

"It came off in my hand, honest"

Josh made panels

Cris welded them in.

Next on the agenda is a shopping trip to the Slough Swap Meet. You can follow the build on Josh's Thread on the SSVC Forum

Coming Home

Robin & Anna's move to Bicester was completed recently when Robin's 61 Beetle finally made its way over.
Robin was assisted in the move by Rosoman & Son Vehicle Transportation.

The car has plenty of club history having been through Toby and Cris' hands in the past and has been spanked up the strip a fair few times in Robin's hands.

Still wearing its club sticker with pride

You can't fake this sort of patina!

Kop Hill Climb

A small group of Lo 'E' Nuf members trooped off to Princes Risborough recently for the Kop Hill Climb revival.

A popular event in the early 20th century, it was last used in 1925 after which public roads were no longer permitted to be used for competition.

Local petrolhead, and occasional musician, Jay Kay brought along a couple of his cars.

His run in a 911 was the "most spirited" of the day.

Old & New

Next year's event is already in the planning.

We'll be there, hopefully some of us will be taking part.
